HYDROSTATIC-TESTING - Is a water pressure test of the integrity of the body of the fire extinguisher, kitchen suppression system and/or fire hose. Fire Safety Training Classes
Luckily, most people have never used a fire extinguisher. On the other hand, most people do not know how to use one. We present a video describing different types of fires and explain the selection and use of different types of extinguishers. There is a question and answer period with our trained technician and our class culminates in a hands on demonstration with each person using extinguishers to put out a fire (of course, its one that we set and control).
In case of fire, exit and emergency lighting saves lives. We install and maintain exit and emergency lighting. Exit signs and emergency lighting also come in combination fixtures, which provide extra protection and have battery backup to keep the exit sign internally illuminated and the egress lighting functioning for a minimum of 90 minutes in the event of a power failure.
Countless numbers of fires are caused by grease build up in exhaust ducts over kitchen cooking areas. Grease needs to be cleaned out of the ducts to prevent this common cause of fires. Although frequency of cleaning is not mandated by law, most duct cleaning occurs on a semi-annual basis, sometimes more often depending on how much usage the system gets.
